MinecraftMetrics

latest files.poixson.com Built with Weld AGPL+PXN

A free and open source service to gather information from public Minecraft servers, mods, and plugins. It's a fun thing to do, and the people who create mods and plugins love seeing the numbers. "How many players are enjoying the thing I created today?!"

What other fascinating and ethical charts can we make with the data? Would you like a public API to access the data? Share your ideas, we'd love to hear them.

Objectives

  • Clear and transparent, open source and free, forever.
  • No corporate sponsors; funded by your donations.

FAQ

Q: Will it stay free?

A: Yes, always, and forever. Don't be greedy.
We do ask for donations, to help us to create more and greater things, but donations are always optional. We will never demand money from you. If you like what we've created, and you have some extra you would like to put to good use, maybe kick something our way. We greatly appreciate it, you're all wonderful.

Q: What platforms are supported?

A: Our goal is to support all types of minecraft servers which use mods or plugins. We do not and will not collect data from game clients.

Q: How can I access the data myself?

A: A public API is planned but not yet ready.

Q: What about privacy?

A: Privacy is important. Take a little away here and there, before you know it, it's gone. You are right to be concerned. PoiXson and our projects are as transparent as can be. All source code is available, and we will never sell-out.

Q: Is it provided by microsoft?

A: No, we have absolutely no affiliation with microsoft or mojang. We are independent, and we create things.

Q: How do I use it in my own plugin or mod?

A: Examples and source code can be found in the git repo: https://git.poixson.com/PxnMC/MineMetrics
Currently it requires our VitalCore plugin. Other options will be added in the future. If you want to write your own code for this, please contact us first.

Q: Why?

A: Because it's fun and interesting. It inspires me to do more when I see how many other people are enjoying something I made. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Q: I have more questions or suggestions!

A: Discord
